Already planning for 2022

Well oiled schools schedule their school’s activities well in advance. Many have already approached LCaT and Purple Pepper Maths for workshop slots for 2022.

What are your plans 2022? Contact us for private preparation for the National Benchmark Tests or NBTs. Helping you to achieve your best possible result remains our passion. Like all experts we enjoy doing what we do, working with high school pupils, helping them to complete the National Benchmark Tests with confidence.

What are the NBTs?

Introduced in 2005, the National Benchmark Tests were commissioned by Universities South Africa with the main task of assessing the academic readiness of first year university students. The National Benchmark Tests have two components:

  • Academic and quantitative literacy (AQL)
  • Mathematics

It’s not about the NBT’s! It’s about being prepared for university

Our Grade 12’s deserve to reach university prepared

“It seems to me,” the mother of a Grade 12 recently wrote to me, “that tertiary institutions no longer expect children to take the NBT’s (for MANY of the programmes)”.

“Is it true?” she asks.

The book really helped and showed how they [the NBTs] would ask questions, so I knew what to expect, especially after doing all five of the tests. I think that everyone should do some work to prepare as it is a test unlike any normal test at school.
